Olympic Games - Taumahekeheke

 

Hi blogger. Today I'm gonna tell you what I'm doing in reading. Miss Jones, my teacher made a slideshow

about the Olympics. I researched facts about the Olympics Games. I had to write the facts I already know

in the bubbles. Did you know the Olympics are held every 4 years? We searched for facts about Japan

and Tokyo. I had to research what food they liked to eat. We watched a video about the Olympics games

and we read a book about the Olympics. I enjoyed doing this slideshow because we looked up facts about

Tokyo and the food they like to eat. I hope you enjoy reading my slideshow.

 On Tuesday and Thursday Manukau goes swimming at Cameron pools . We learn how to swim at Cameron pools. Manukau and Haumia  go together on  the bus to Cameron pools for the lesson. When we get to the pool we get changed into our togs. We wait for our teacher  to call the roll.  We hop in the pool one at a  time safely by the ladder . Then I swim. A teacher gives us a board and we grab a board and then she tells us  to do a kick in the pool . We keep our  hands still  and we kick  with straight  legs . We were floating on our  backs and kicking our legs. We had to do a  streamline.  We held our  hands  still and we  kept our legs straight to swim to the platform . We use crocodile grip to hold our board.  The water was cold.  I  had  so much fun at the  pools .We hopped out of the pool  then got changed  and then Mrs Jones counted us on the bus. Then we went back to school to eat  our lunch .I was really tired when I  went home and I sat down on the couch and played with my dolls.

Duffy Theafre

 Yesterday the Duffy Theatre  came to our school. The Show  was about Duffy in Lockdown. I enjoyed it     because if was funny. My favourite part was  when the chickens were chasing Duffy  and scurffy.  Have you been to the Duffy Theatre before?

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Lego Workshop

This term we had a Lego workshop. It was fun. We learned how to build with Lego. I liked making the planets with Lego because I liked trying to make the Earth. Something I would like to change would be to have more time to do everything.

 

Emotions

 

Since we came back from lockdown  we have been learning about emotions. For this activity we had to make faces to show our expressions. I liked the faces I made. Next time I could have less background in my photos.

Tennis

We have been learning tennis for the past few weeks at school.

Some of the things we have been practising are balancing the ball on the tennis racket and hitting the ball back to a buddy.

I enjoyed hitting the ball back to my buddy, Allysha.

One thing I could practice more is balancing the ball on the tennis racket.
